Why is he in the news? He has done it! He has finally done it! Britain is out of the EU. Err… what now?
Why do we care? We have been writing about this and only this for the past three years. It is all we have. What on earth are we going to write about now?!
Why should you care? It is over. It is finally over. Let’s be honest: in the end, nobody really cared anymore. Oh, what’s that you say? It’s not over? It’s now 11 months of transitioning and negotiations? Oh dear.

Any further comments? Seriously what now? Boris has done it, but what is the plan now? He seems to be taking a hardline approach on trade negotiations, but how long will that last?
The international position of the UK will be a fascinating one to analyse these coming years: not only does it have a huge mountain to climb in creating trade ties not just with the EU but also with, err, everyone else as it is facing enemies domestic and abroad. Internally, Scotland will look for independence, and Ulster may be pressured into closer ties with Ireland. Externally, it will need to do more than just being the White House’s poodle.
