Unit of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in charge of foreign military and intelligence operations in the Middle East. Its goal is to support non-state actors, such as insurgent movements, to increase Iran’s influence in the region. For instance, the Quds Force has aided groups loyal to Bashar al-Assad and Shiite militants in Iraq.
