The Kurdistan Worker’s Party or PKK is a militant and political organisation that claims the independence of the Kurdish state in parts of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria. Due to the PKK’s violent struggle with Turkey, the organisation has been labeled as terrorist by Turkey, the US, the EU, Australia, and Japan.
