5G refers to fifth-generation cellular wireless. Along with the previous technologies, 5G facilitates channels that are larger, latency (the time it takes a device to connect to wireless networks) is lower and also wider networks with connections to more devices at a time. 5G has three different spectrums: low-band spectrum, mid-band spectrum and high-band spectrum (in increasing order of performance and speed).
