Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a movement founded in 2013 following the murder of Trayvon Martin. It is a global organisation and it is mostly operative in the US, UK, and Canada. Their mission is “to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.”
